Need a Horse Drawn Vehicle? Check Out Shady Lane Wagons

September 2017

Shady Lane Wagons sells wooden wagonettes, spring wagons, Meadowbrook and easy entry carts, Amish-style vehicles, vis-ŕ-vis, auto-top surreys and sleighs. Established in 1991 by Weaver Martin, Shady Lane Wagons operates on his farm just north of New Holland, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Shady Lane Wagons also completely restores wagons, carts and antique sleighs, buys and sells used horse drawn vehicles and harness, and sells new and used saddles. More than a hundred horse drawn vehicles are in stock.

Each carriage, wagon and sleigh is crafted or restored with fine, Old World craftsmanship. Martin offers custom work to suit his customers’ needs and is very knowledgeable about correctly fitting the vehicle to the horse or pony. Shady Lane sells made to order hayride wagons and sleighs in sizes from mini to draft.

Shady Lane Wagons also rents sleighs – a great idea when Pennsylvania winters range from barely a dusting to foot upon foot of snow. A sleigh rental is a great way to have fun when a blizzard hits or to get a taste of sleigh riding before making the financial commitment to buy. If you need to rent a hay wagon for hay rides, a surry, spring wagon or vis-ŕ-vis, Shady Lane Wagons rents them too.
