Kimberton Hunt Plans 72nd Show

April 2017

The Kimberton Hunt Club’s 72nd Annual Horse Show will be held at the Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show grounds, Five Nantmeal Road, Glenmoore, PA on Sunday, April 30. Founded in 1870, Kimberton Hunt Club, one of the oldest hunt clubs in North America, works diligently to help preserve open space for the enjoyment of both equestrians and the community. The Kimberton Hunt Club is now a Masters of Foxhounds Association recognized pack.

The Kimberton Hunt Club’s 70th Annual Horse Show was named Pennsylvania Horse Show Association Horse Show of the Year. This award is given annually to the one show that provided the best horse show experience for riders, trainers, owners, spectators and horses in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is the first outdoor USEF “C” show of the season in the region, and a “warm up” for the Devon Horse Show.

Kimberton Hunt Club Horse Show offers Marshall & Sterling League Medal classes in Children’s Pony, Children’s Horse, Adult and Low Adult divisions, and three Classics: $1500 NAL Child/Adult Jumper Classic; $500 Do Trot In Tack Shop, LLC, Hunter Pony Classic and $750 Silvia Cole Realtor/Keller Williams Exton Hunter Horse Classic. There are Jumper classes for horses, ponies and T.I.P. There will also be Opportunity and Rated classes, Hunt Teams, Ladies Side Saddle, Pleasure, Short Stirrup and Leadline divisions.

Kimberton Hunt’s food tent is legendary, featuring delicious, reasonably priced, homemade food served by club members. There will also be a select group of vendors featuring everything from equestrian necessities to fine arts.

Exhibitors will earn applicable member points in USEF, PHSA, EPPHA, ISSO, CCHSA, and M&S League. Call Show Manager, Barbara Dunn at (610) 469-0227 or click on the Horse Show tab at www.kimbertonhunt.org for complete information.
