Heron Mead Farm offers Horse/Pony Camps!

April 2016

Heron Mead Farm is a dressage and event barn offering lessons, summer camps, Pony Club, boarding, and training in Robesonia, PA, next to 6,000 acres of Blue Marsh Lake trails and State Gamelands. Beginners get safe, positive instruction on well-trained lesson horses and ponies, while experienced riders learn advanced techniques in dressage and jumping. Many students benefit from Heron Mead Farm’s detailed show preparation, coaching, and trailering. Heron Mead Pony Club offers all students an excellent education in horse care as well as riding, for both kids and adult USPC Horsemaster members.

Boarders’ horses receive custom feed and turnout to optimize each horse’s potential in the full-care and self-care programs. Facilities include an all-weather riding ring, round pen, and schooling cross-country course; large, airy stalls with rubber mattress flooring; excellent pastures or dry lots with sheds; and winter boarding at a nearby facility with an indoor. Boarders appreciate the facilities and farrier care that supports barefoot performance horses. Most HMF horses compete very successfully barefoot!

Heron Mead Farm's training program uses gentle yet effective training methods to preserve each horse's health, soundness, and trust by combining Natural Horsemanship with classical European dressage and event training techniques.

2016 show calendar includes: schooling dressage shows and events as well as USEA events, cross-country schoolings, Pony Club rallies, and USPC National Championships. Horse & Pony Camps (week-long, 9am-3pm) are June 20-24 and August 15-19.

Customers who want professional day-to-day help with their horses’ health, soundness, and training issues love the trainers’ constant availability. Experienced horse owners appreciate the attention to detail and Heron Mead’s expertise with veterinary issues to catch problems early. Heron Mead Farm’s goal is to help students and boarders get the most out of their riding and horse ownership experience. For more information, visit www.heronmeadfarm.com.
