Horse trainer and psychol-
ogist Dr. Maria Katsamanis will
host a one-day horseless work-
shop on Saturday, May 6 at her
Amwell Ridge Farm in Ringoes,
NJ. The workshop will incorpo-
rate the lessons of the classics as
well as new scientific revelations
from the molecular and noetic
sciences. In addition to horseless
workshops, Katsamanis also
offers riding clinics, lectures,
seminars, training, instruction,
and horse sales at Amwell Ridge
Dr. Katsamanis, a leading
expert in her field and a highly
sought-after clinician throughout
the US and abroad, has trans-
formed the lives of countless
horses and equestrians using
equine and human psychology
to examine the fundamental
mechanics that underlie hu-
man-equine interaction.
She specializes in helping
equestrians from all disciplines
achieve a deeper understanding
of how body language, emotions,
and breathing influence their
relationship with their horse and
the effectiveness of their ride.
Workshop, participants will
identify and release physical and
mental barriers that can prevent
progress and connection in riding
and on the ground.
Dr. Katsamanis holds a doc-
torate in clinical psychology and
is a Clinical Assistant Professor
at Rutgers Medical School. Her
training approach, dubbed “Mo-
lecular Equitation”, examines the
connection between horse and
rider on a molecular level and
focuses on improving such basic
elements as balance, relaxation,
muscle formation, and breathing
