Lewisville Stables Accommodates Beginners to Advanced Combined Training

Lewisville Stables offers an outstanding, safe lesson program with top instructors, along with boarding, training, leasing, clinics, and shows. The facility includes a brand new barn with attached indoor riding ring. The farm’s attention to detail when caring for horses and knowledgeable staff and friendly atmosphere make it an attractive place for riders and their equine companions. The focus is on combined training with Centered Riding techniques, but branches into hunters and eventing.

Thoroughbreds, thoroughbred crosses and various pony breeds call the farm, located in the beautiful Fair Hill area near the Fair Hill Training Center, home. The location is convenient to Newark and Hockessin, DE, Elkton, MD and Landenberg and New London, PA.

Lessons are conducted on well trained horses in a friendly atmosphere which promotes fun and learning but stresses proper horsemanship and safety. Instruction is offered for beginners of all ages to advanced riders with a focus on Combined Training, and in western riding. Youngest students enjoy private kinder ride lessons. Safety for both rider and horse is the stable’s highest priority. The indoor riding ring allows year-round lessons and training and hosts clinics with well known, top level trainers.

Lewisville Stables’ owners and instructors have over 20 years’ experience and are also available to coach at shows. Co-owner and head instructor Christi Biddle is certified in H.S.I. and C.P.R. Tina Graham, co-owner, gives private lessons in dressage and jumping and is certified Level 2 Combined Training with the A.R.I.C.P. Jen Knox is the farm’s western instructor.

Training for the farm’s competition horses and boarders’ horses, starts from the ground up with kind, but assertive, established techniques that produce suitable riding mounts from off the track thoroughbreds and unridden youngsters. Several are now on the show circuit.

Full care boarding includes large stalls, turnout, and full use of the facilities and grounds. The farm’s brand new lower barn houses 12 stalls, a heated tack room and an attached indoor riding ring. A few steps away are a large outdoor riding ring and a heated clubhouse for parties, meetings and events. The upper stable is a quaint older barn which houses 12 stalls, tack room and an attached large run-in. For those who don’t want to ride in a ring, there are plenty of acres to hack out. Lewisville Stables offers monthly leasing, hosts English/Western shows and Triangle Series shows and offers programs for 4-H and Girl Scouts, pony parties and day camps.

For the Horse Farms Open House: Lewisville Stables will offer tours of the stables, certificates for discount lessons, and light refreshments.
