Pennsylvania Equestrian is a subsidiary of Shertzer/Lawson Marketing & Publishing.

Shertzer/Lawson Marketing & Publishing provides marketing services, including advertising, public relations, sponsorships, promotion and market research, to equestrian and tourism clients, and consulting services to the horse industry.

Current and past equestrian clients include the Pennsylvania National Horse Show, Pennsylvania Horse World Expo, Ludwig's Corner Horse Show, the Quentin Riding Club, the Equestrian Show (Dubai UAE), Quentin Fall Horse Show, Willowdale Steeplechase, Hempt Cup Polo Classic, and Children's Benefit Horse Show.

Current and past tourism clients include J. Latka Verlag GmbH, publisher of the only German travel magazine devoted solely to travel in the US, and TexTransfer, which provides representation, public relations and marketing services in Germany for American tourism destinations, including the states of Tennessee and Alabama.

Owner Stephanie Shertzer Lawson founded Pennsylvania Equestrian, a monthly newspaper with a readership of 30,000, and Shertzer/Lawson Marketing and Publishing, in 1993.

Prior to that, she spent sixteen years in tourism destination marketing, including six years as Vice President and Director of Marketing for the Pennsylvania Dutch Convention & Visitors Bureau, marketing Lancaster County, Pennsylvania worldwide as a vacation destination. She spent eight years in theme park marketing and group sales, including several as Group Sales Manager for Hersheypark, Hershey, PA.

Vice-president of the Pennsylvania Equine Council, she works closely with the Pennsylvania legislature and Department of Agriculture to monitor, introduce and pass equine- friendly legislation. She is a lifelong horse owner who showed American Saddlebreds on the A-circuit for nearly 20 years and who now, as a member of the Lancaster Polo Association, plays polo in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
